Appleseed

'Appleseed ' is a science fiction with a exciting action pack. The anime creator is also the creator of Ghost in the Shell.

It's story take place in 2131 AD and the future of the human race hangs in the balance. There is one female soldier, named Deunan Knute who has survived a major war that has pushed the earth to the brink of destruction. Located in a bombed-out urban wasteland, Deunan is transported to the Utopian city of Olympus and reunited with her former lover Briareos whose body is now half man, half cyborg. In Olympus City, half the population is made up of Bioroids, a genetically engineered species with a limited life span who are designed without unstable human emotions in order to create a peaceful society and protect the remaining members of the human race.

In utopia, however, all is not as it seems. A group of rebel humans, who perceive bioroids as a threat to the integrity and future of mankind, try to sabotage the Olympus city computer and destroy the ability to re-activate the bioroid reproductive functions. As Deunan battles to stop the terrorists and find the 'Appleseed' data needed to extend bioroid life, the question of who she can trust and who is actually right- their society, or the terrorists- continues to arise..

Its graphic is great. Its 3D object with 2D appearance. The story is nice. I have the VCD. Who want to borrow?

Sorry... I have problem accessing this blog for these few days... so never say anything...

The anime is pretty cool. Graphics good, and so is the storyline. I watched this during the film fest and I definitely prefer it to "Wonderful Days", the Korean animation that was showing at the same time.

Wonderful days have got very good animation... juz that the plot is a little too simple and thin.

Did anyone watch Ghost in the Shell: Innocence during the film fest? Very good graphics and storyline too. True to the original Ghost in the Shell and the series Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. Once again, those who are interested can get all three from me :P I dun have SAC 2nd gag though.. the sub-ed ones not out yet.

I didn't watch Innocence at the film fest. It was the closing movie so the tickets were more expensive. I heard the movie is about the cyborg guy more than the girl, right?
