There is this 电车男 (densya otoko) comic. Quite funny.

In the train, a young man, name Tsuyoshi Yamada save a beautiful lady, name Saori from a drunken old man, from that day his life has changed.

Tsuyoshi, 23-year old apart from work, he pass the time by watching anime, playing videogames, surfing network. After meeting Saori, he think that it was not possible for that lady to love him. He wrote a message about what happen in the train and his feeling in the internet discuss board. Very soon, a lot of “net-friends” start response and give him advice and courage. Then his "chase" begin.
